Technology Provider for TOKYO DIGICONX Organizer Booth

Portalgraph provided technology for the organizer's planned booth at TOKYO DIGICONX (XR Metaverse Expo), hosted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and operated by Nikkei BP. Using a 150-inch large LED display, we conducted an exhibition where visitors could communicate with 3D characters via Portalgraph.

Challenge

Nikkei BP took over the operation of the XR Metaverse Expo (TOKYO DIGICONX) hosted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, and was considering an advanced exhibition for the organizer's planned booth.

Solution

Portalgraph provided technology for the organizer's planned booth at TOKYO DIGICONX (January 8–10, 2026). We set up a 150-inch (3.5m × 2m) large LED display and used Portalgraph to project 3D characters. In addition to our staff appearing in real-time as 3D avatars, we also exhibited pre-recorded demo footage of VTubers ChumuNote and Umitsuki Shell.

Our staff appeared in real-time as 3D avatars

Through Portalgraph's technology, which enables 3D objects to appear as if emerging from any flat display—from LED displays to projectors and televisions—we realized an immersive communication experience on the large display without requiring visitors to wear headsets.

Results

The exhibition was held from January 8 to 10, 2026. The real-time interaction experience with 3D characters on the 150-inch LED screen demonstrated the potential of Portalgraph for large-scale XR exhibitions.
